Fine Spirits began with the Woodland Cemetery History Quest project in Des Moines, Iowa. The city of Des Moines supported Kristine Bartley, a film industry veteran who worked on the Woodland Cemetery Advisory Board, and her son Henry Winber, to create videos and QR codes for some of the most important people in the history of the city.

After the project was complete, Kristine won the Volunteer of the Year award from the City of Des Moines and the Historic Preservation Medal from the Daughters of the American Revolution.

“We wanted to give everybody an opportunity to have their ancestors story told.” The stories give each ancestor new life, and enrich our community with history.
